Built in 1925 as a legitimate theatre. Orson Welles‘ "Citizen Kane" opened here in 1941. Refurbishing in 1942 concealed its lavish interior converting it to the Hollywood Paramount where many films, including "Doctor Zhivago," premiered in the 50s and 60s.
