the time for its vaudeville acts--the Frolic Room was
rumored to have been a speakeasy during Prohibition.


Ivar Theatre
The Ivar Theatre
opened in February 1951 with a production of The Barretts of Wimpole Street.
It's rumored that Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were in the audience opening night.

Famous since the 1920s, this corner was once the
epicenter of the radio, television, and movie industry.
