It’s Showtime! Beetlejuice at Hollywood Pantages

HOLLYWOOD, CA – The ghost-with-the-most returns to the Hollywood Pantages Theatre by popular demand. Beetlejuice, the hilarious musical based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film, will run for a strictly limited engagement from March 10 through March 22, 2026.

The Plot: A Tale About Life, Death, and the Netherworld

Based on the 1988 cult classic film, the musical centers on Lydia Deetz, a “strange and unusual” teenager obsessed with the whole “being dead” thing since the passing of her mother. When her father moves them into a house haunted by a recently deceased couple (Barbara and Adam Maitland), Lydia finds an unlikely ally in Beetlejuice, a bio-exorcist demon with a penchant for chaos and stripes.

• The Scheme: Beetlejuice needs a living person to say his name three times so he can become visible and wreak havoc on the living world. He recruits Lydia to help him scare away her father and his new fiancée.

• The Heart: While the show is famous for its irreverent, fourth-wall-breaking humor and “out of this Netherworld” set design, it is ultimately a touching story about grief, family, and learning to make the most of every “Day-O.”
