Katalyst & Friends: The Summer Vibe returns to Blue Note Los Angeles with the vibrant, collaborative energy of one of Inglewood’s most dynamic contemporary jazz collectives. Led by drummer, composer, and producer Greg Paul, Katalyst is a nine-piece ensemble known for experimental contemporary jazz that reflects the pulse, diversity, and creative force of Los Angeles. The group brings together musicians including Brandon Cordoba, David Otis, Jonah Levine, Brian Hargrove, Ahmad Dubose, Corbin Jones, Marlon Spears, and Greg Paul, creating a full, layered sound built on rhythm, improvisation, and collective chemistry.
