Recently deceased couple Adam and Barbara Maitland try to scare the new, living occupants, the Deetzes, out of their home. When their own attempts fail, they enlist the help of a crude and chaotic “bio-exorcist” from the Netherworld, Beetlejuice, by saying his name three times. His supernatural antics quickly spiral out of control, forcing the ghosts and the Deetzes’ daughter, Lydia, to unite to banish him.
