Chaparelle is a modern American country-folk group, frequently praised for blending the charm of classic country music with contemporary themes and pop sensibilities. The core of the project is the dynamic duo of singer Zella Day (who previously had a solo career in pop music) and folk musician Jesse Woods, who are also partners in their personal lives. Their collaboration originated in 2023 and quickly evolved into a trio with the addition of producer Beau Bedford. Chaparelle’s sound is characterized by twangy vocals, strong harmonies between Day and Woods, and vivid, Texas-inspired imagery, which has led them to be signed to Mom + Pop Music. They released their debut album, Western Pleasure, in 2025, featuring tracks like “Devil’s Music” and “Bad Loving,” and are noted for their captivating live shows that celebrate the golden era of country while creating something fresh.
