Sydney Rose (born Sydney Struchtemeyer) is a prominent American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Georgia, now based in Nashville, known for her deeply vulnerable, intimate style of indie-pop/folk music, which is often delivered with soft, delicate vocals over sparse guitar or piano accompaniment. She built an audience organically by posting acoustic covers on social media during the pandemic, achieving massive viral success with her stripped-down take on Sleeping At Last’s “Turning Page,” which has since amassed over 70 million streams and led to her first record deal at 18. Following a brief period as an independent artist, she gained immense mainstream traction in 2025 with her viral single “We Hug Now,” a song about a friendship breakup that generated over 2 billion views on TikTok, catapulting her onto the Billboard Emerging Artists Chart and leading to her signing with Mercury Records, for whom she released her recent EP, I Know What I Want.
