SAMMY ADAMS
Sammy Adams, born Samuel Adams Wisner in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer known for his pop-rap style that seamlessly blends traditional hip-hop with upbeat, electronic, and party-oriented themes, a sound he often refers to as “hip-pop.” He rose to prominence in the late 2000s while attending Trinity College, achieving viral fame with his 2009 track “I Hate College (Remix)” and quickly following up with his debut EP, Boston’s Boy (2010), which topped the iTunes hip-hop chart independently and led to sold-out tours and performances at major festivals like Lollapalooza. Though he signed with Sony RCA and collaborated with artists like Enrique Iglesias and Mike Posner, eventually releasing his platinum-selling hit “All Night Longer,” he later returned to independent releases to focus on music that authentically reflected his personal growth, a journey marked by his successful recovery from a severe spinal injury in 2018.
