Deceits

Deceits is an emerging American trio from Los Angeles, California, who are a leading force in the contemporary Post-Punk and Gothic Rock scenes, famous for their unique, passionate sound that rejects being merely “moody and monotone.” The band, composed of Kevin “Puppy” Moreno (vocals, bass, keys), Skylar Francise (guitars), and Francisco Saenz (percussion), creates a highly melodic blend of dark wave, cold wave, and deathrock, characterized by a raw energy and romantic melancholy that draws heavy comparisons to seminal bands like The Cure and Joy Division, but with an added intensity and modern flair. After forming in late 2021 and releasing their debut album, If There’s No Heaven… in 2023, they have quickly garnered a dedicated underground following and have secured major performances, including slots at festivals and headlining shows in prestigious venues.
