BONFIRE & Hard Rock Showcase
Get ready for a night of high-voltage rock and roll as the premier AC/DC tribute, BONFIRE, headlines the Whisky A Go Go on Friday, January 30, 2026. This lineup is a heavy-hitting mix of seasoned tribute artists and original hard rock bands from across the West Coast. Doors open at 6:00 PM.
The Lineup
-
BONFIRE (Tribute to AC/DC): Widely regarded as one of the most authentic AC/DC tribute bands in the world, BONFIRE specifically recreates the high-energy “Bon Scott era” (1974–1980). Led by vocalist Sean Mulvihill, who perfectly captures Scott’s signature rasp and swagger, the band delivers a setlist of early classics like “Highway to Hell,” “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap,” and “T.N.T.” with arena-level production.
-
Bonnie Brae: A female-fronted powerhouse from Southern California led by the ferocious Gwendolyn Casella. Their sound is a “mesmerizing brand of hard rock” that leans into sludge, metal, and punk influences. Known for intense tracks like “Slut” and “Drug,” they are a staple of the current Sunset Strip resurgence.
-
Brett Ellis Band: Fronted by San Diego guitar virtuoso Brett Ellis, this trio is a masterclass in blues-infused hard rock. Ellis is known for his blistering technical ability and has shared stages with legends like Sammy Hagar and Edgar Winter.
-
Revelant Souls: A rising rock outfit that blends classic southern rock sensibilities with modern alternative grit. They are known for their soulful vocals and driving rhythmic sections.
-
We Are The Black Things: A “Hollywood Hard Rock N’ Roll” collective led by multi-instrumentalist Tone Raven. Their music is raw and gritty, often featuring socially conscious lyrics and heavy, acoustic-driven foundations.
-
Faultline: Hailing from Upland, CA, this veteran group brings “Real Rock N’ Roll” back to the stage with a focus on big riffs and anthemic vocal hooks.
-
Observer Syndrome: Rounding out the bill, this group adds a layer of “heavy, ethereal rock” to the night, often incorporating atmospheric synthesizers and progressive rock structures.
