Going Places invites visitors into a curated world where the familiar landscapes of Los Angeles are reimagined through a lens of atmosphere and memory. The exhibition strikes a sophisticated balance, offering a space that feels both intellectually stimulating and warmly welcoming.

The “vibe” is one of quiet contemplation and discovery. Jamie F. Adams sets the tone with his soulful explorations of the city, finding a unique, gritty heroism in the industrial margins and local architecture of the LA River. His work pairs beautifully with Todd Carpenter’s monochromatic masterclasses in light; Carpenter transforms urban scenes into ethereal, psychological spaces that play with the viewer’s perception of reality.

Adding a layer of delicate texture, Yumiko Glover draws on Japanese aesthetics to create dreamlike compositions. By incorporating recycled kimono fabrics, her pieces evoke a sense of impermanence and soft, cloud-like memory. Together, these artists transform the gallery into a sanctuary of visual storytelling, encouraging guests to linger and find their own connection to the shape-shifting landscapes of Southern California.
