Forever Flamenco: Aire

Forever Flamenco: Aire brings a fresh international spirit to the Fountain Theatre as Lakshmi Basile “La Chimi” leads a group of seasoned flamenco artists in an exploration of the elusive quality known as aire—the individual presence, style, and expressive character that gives flamenco its distinctive life onstage. The program brings artists together for the first time, creating a performance built around exchange, experimentation, and the spontaneous conversation between music and dance.

Joining La Chimi are guitarist Kambiz Pakan and singer Marian Fernandez, with additional artists being revealed as the performance approaches. The result is designed as an intimate flamenco encounter where rhythm, voice, guitar, movement, and personality meet in real time, making the evening feel both deeply rooted in tradition and open to discovery.
