Vanessa Prager: Talk to Me

Los Angeles-based artist Vanessa Prager returns to Diane Rosenstein Gallery with Talk to Me, a new series of ten richly textured impasto oil paintings that expands her earlier interest in portraiture into exuberant still lifes. Domestic objects, food, flowers, screens, patterns, and glimpses of people accumulate across the canvases, turning the everyday environment into a kind of portrait in its own right.

The paintings are dense with color and tactile detail, transforming familiar scenes of home, celebration, and daily life into layered compositions where objects carry memory and personality. The exhibition marks Prager’s third solo presentation with the gallery and remains on view through October 31, 2026.
