Mariachi Meets The Smiths

Mariachi Meets The Smiths brings Manchester melancholy and Mexican musical tradition together for a one-of-a-kind evening at The Ford. Produced in partnership with Mariachi Tierra Mia, the concert reimagines favorites from The Smiths’ catalog through the sound, emotion, and instrumentation of some of Los Angeles’ leading mariachi artists.

The program also features DJ Manny Fresco, The Last Line of Defense, and Cultura Revolucion, expanding the evening into a broader celebration of the deep connection The Smiths’ music has developed with Mexican and Mexican American audiences. With songs from albums such as Meat Is Murder and The Queen Is Dead transformed through mariachi arrangements, the concert offers a fresh and heartfelt meeting of two musical worlds.
