Saint Megan
Inspired by the story of Megan Phelps-Roper, who was raised inside the Westboro Baptist Church, Saint Megan follows a young woman whose certainty begins to fracture when honest conversations online force her to question the beliefs, family ties, and community that have defined her entire life. What begins as a story about faith and ideology becomes an intimate examination of what it costs to leave behind the world that raised you.
Written by Joy Gregory and directed by Lina Patel, the world premiere blends family drama, spiritual reckoning, online conversation, music, and movement while exploring American Christian zealotry, the longing for salvation, and the courage required to live with uncertainty. The production runs through November 15, with performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00PM, Sundays at 2:00PM, and Mondays at 8:00PM.
