Amadeo Luciano Lorenzato

David Zwirner presents the first Los Angeles exhibition devoted to Amadeo Luciano Lorenzato, one of the most distinctive Brazilian painters of his generation. Drawing closely from everyday life in his hometown of Belo Horizonte, Lorenzato transformed ordinary landscapes, houses, streets, gardens, and still lifes into quietly powerful compositions defined by reduced geometric forms and richly textured surfaces.

The exhibition brings together color-blocked landscapes, vivid domestic scenes, and contemplative still lifes that reveal Lorenzato’s highly personal approach to modernism. Seemingly simple images become studies of atmosphere, rhythm, and close observation, offering a concise introduction to an artist whose work is receiving growing international recognition. The exhibition remains on view through October 31, 2026.
