The Group Rep brings the Tony Award-winning musical Applause to the Lonny Chapman Theatre. Based on the classic film All About Eve, the show follows celebrated Broadway actress Margo Channing and the seemingly devoted young admirer Eve Harrington, whose ambitions gradually reveal themselves as she works her way into Margo’s life and career.
Featuring a book by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, music by Charles Strouse, and lyrics by Lee Adams, the production runs through August 30, with Friday and Saturday evening performances and Sunday matinees.
