Artist Exhibition Walkthrough with Manuel López, Mr.Wash, and Cauleen Smith

David Zwirner Los Angeles hosts an artist-led exhibition walkthrough with Manuel López, Mr.Wash, and Cauleen Smith in conjunction with California Light and Space (The 21st Century Version), a group exhibition organized by Helen Molesworth. Taking place at the gallery’s 606 N Western Avenue location, the walkthrough offers visitors a chance to experience the exhibition through the perspectives of three participating artists whose work contributes to a contemporary rethinking of California’s relationship to light, space, place, and visual perception.

The broader exhibition brings together artists including Njideka Akunyili Crosby, Sonia Boyajian, Noah Davis, rafa esparza, Jennifer Guidi, Lauren Halsey, EJ Hill, Thomas Houseago, Manuel López, Rodney McMillian, Mr.Wash, Catherine Opie, Hilary Pecis, Lari Pittman, Jason Rhoades, Cauleen Smith, and Lily Stockman. Through painting, sculpture, photography, video, and installation, the show expands the legacy of California Light and Space into the twenty-first century, connecting atmosphere and perception with Los Angeles histories, communities, architecture, and lived experience. The walkthrough takes place on July 18, 2026, while the exhibition remains on view through August 1, 2026.
