Dust off your neon and hairspray for a high-energy trip back to the 1980s at the world-famous Whisky A Go Go on Thursday, January 15, 2026. This lineup celebrates the synth-pop, new wave, and pop-rock sounds that defined a generation. Doors open at 6:00 PM.

The Lineup

  • Bow Wow Wow: Headlining the night is the iconic New Wave band originally assembled by Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren. While lead singer Annabella Lwin often performs solo sets, the current touring iteration of the band is led by original bassist Leigh Gorman and features powerhouse vocalist Dame Madelyn. Expect a rhythm-heavy set filled with their jungle-beat hits like “I Want Candy,” “Do You Wanna Hold Me?,” and “Go Wild in the Country.”

  • The Molly Ringwald Project: Known as the “Ultimate 80’s Tribute Band,” this Central Coast-based ensemble is famous for their high-production, nostalgia-fueled live shows. They don’t just play the hits; they recreate the entire 80s experience, covering everything from Depeche Mode and Duran Duran to Bon Jovi and Prince.

  • A Day in the 80s: A rising tribute act that focuses on the “deep cuts” and anthem-heavy radio hits of the decade, ensuring the dance floor stays packed from the moment the show starts.
