Emmanuel Louisnord Desir: Rough Ways of The Delicate Ones

Emmanuel Louisnord Desir: Rough Ways of The Delicate Ones marks the artist’s second solo exhibition with Sebastian Gladstone and brings together eight new works exploring metamorphosis, endurance, faith, and reclamation. Desir’s sculptural figures combine bodies, creatures, machines, and symbolic forms, creating armored yet vulnerable beings shaped by the pressures of history, belief, and survival.

Across bronze, assemblage, and hybrid sculptural forms, Desir considers what the body must become in order to endure while still holding onto care, love, and humanity. Biblical references and mechanical imagery run throughout the exhibition, transforming ideas of pressure, corruption, and renewal into physical form. The exhibition remains on view through October 31, 2026.
