J. Ivy & Friends with Special Guests
October 5 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Three-time Grammy-winning poet and artist J. Ivy brings his boundary-pushing blend of spoken word, hip-hop, rhythm, and storytelling to Blue Note Los Angeles, joined by a lineup of special guests. A pioneering figure in hip-hop poetry, Ivy has helped carry spoken word onto major stages and recordings while maintaining a performance style rooted in inspiration, musicality, and deeply personal writing.
His career has included collaborations with artists such as Jay-Z, Kanye West, John Legend, Robert Glasper, Black Thought, PJ Morton, and Dave Chappelle, making this “Friends” format especially suited to an evening of unexpected creative connections. Shows are at 7:00PM and 9:30PM on October 5.
