Joe Russo’s Almost Dead (JRAD) is a highly acclaimed American rock band, formed in 2013 by drummer Joe Russo, that is celebrated for its high-octane, improvisational, and unique interpretations of the Grateful Dead’s vast catalog. The band, which also includes keyboardist Marco Benevento, bassist Dave Dreiwitz, and guitarists Scott Metzger and Tom Hamilton, is often referred to as a “supergroup” whose members have deep roots in the jam band and indie music scenes, including projects like Furthur and Ween.
