Kat Hamilton is an American singer, songwriter, and performer based in Los Angeles, whose music is a compelling blend of Emo and Americana, distinguished by her unflinchingly honest and diaristic lyrical content. Known for drawing on influences ranging from Fleetwood Mac to modern indie-rock acts like Death Cab For Cutie, her work often provides a highly intimate exploration of personal struggle, particularly focusing on themes of sobriety, mental illness, and healing from trauma. Her deeply personal journey was chronicled on her critically acclaimed 2020 debut solo album, Recovery Songs, which was written in a chronological narrative of her experience with addiction. Beyond her solo career, which includes the 2023 EP I wish this was a love story, Hamilton is also one half of the indie-rock duo Guyville and previously fronted the pop-punk band Manic Pixi.
