Missing Persons & New Wave Showcase

Experience a night of quintessential 80s synth-pop and modern alternative rock at the world-famous Whisky A Go Go on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. This lineup is led by new wave icons Missing Persons and features a diverse mix of international power-pop and rising Southern California talent. Doors open at 6:00 PM.

The Lineup

  • Missing Persons: Headlining the night is the legendary band that helped define the early MTV era. Led by the unmistakable, high-fashion frontwoman Dale Bozzio, the group is known for their quirky, technically proficient hits like “Words,” “Destination Unknown,” and “Walking in L.A.” After a busy 2025 touring schedule, they are returning to the Sunset Strip to deliver their signature blend of futuristic pop and hard-hitting rhythms.

  • Passion Nouveau: Making a rare appearance from Detroit, this group features legendary 80s recording artists with ties to figures like Figures on a Beach, The Romantics, and Toby Redd. Their sound is a polished blend of mainstream rock and dance-club energy that has received global radio play.

  • Eileen Carey: A staple of the California music scene, Carey is an award-winning singer-songwriter who blends country-pop with a rock edge. Known for her uplifting lyrics and engaging stage presence, she brings a “feel-good” melodic sensibility to the night.

  • Ramona + The Riot: Hailing from St. Augustine, Florida, this high-energy ensemble is led by the “femme fatale” vocals of Jeanetta Salyer. Their sound is an eclectic “treasure trove” of soul power, hip-hop, funk, and improv jazz, often described as a mix of Aretha Franklin and Amy Winehouse with a bold modern flavor.

  • AYVA: A rising multi-instrumentalist and “fearless” voice for her generation. From Southern California, AYVA blends raw rock energy with soul-baring vocal moments. Having performed at major venues like the House of Blues, she represents the new evolution of the SoCal rock sound.

  • Mars Rodriguez: A Nicaraguan-American DIY artist, producer, and one-person band. Rodriguez is known for her experimental synth-pop and post-punk influences, showcased in her 2025 album Mañana Nobody Knows. Her performance often features intricate electronic layers and atmospheric, cinematic textures.
