Reclaiming the Throne: SIX the Musical at Hollywood Pantages
HOLLYWOOD, CA – Following the engagement of The Book of Mormon, the global pop-musical sensation SIX returns to the Hollywood Pantages Theatre from February 18 through March 8, 2026.
Winner of two 2022 Tony Awards—including Best Original Score—SIX reimagines the tragic histories of the six wives of Henry VIII as a high-octane modern pop concert.
The Plot: “Divorced, Beheaded, LIVE!”
The show is structured as a pop-idol style competition. The six Queens—Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard, and Catherine Parr—form a girl group and take turns singing their stories to decide who had the “worst” experience with Henry VIII. The “winner” of the contest is to be crowned the lead singer of the group.

The Narrative Arc: While it begins as a competition of “historical heartbreak,” the Queens eventually realize that their identities have been defined solely by their relationship to a man for 500 years. They decide to stop competing and “remix” their stories, reclaiming their power and celebrating their own individual legacies as pop icons.

The Music: Each Queen’s song is inspired by a modern-day “Pop-spiration.” For example, Catherine of Aragon’s style draws from Beyoncé/Jennifer Lopez, while Anne Boleyn’s cheeky track reflects Lily Allen/Avril Lavigne.
