Slava Ukraini! (or Waiting for Elon) places three soldiers—two Ukrainian and one Russian—inside the ruins of a steelworks in Mariupol, where survival, ideology, and unexpected common ground collide. Their shared love of Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings brings moments of humanity and dark humor to an intense story about war, belief, and the desperate search for meaning amid devastation.
The production also has performances on Sunday, August 23 and Sunday, August 30 at 3:00PM, offering two additional opportunities to experience this thought-provoking and unexpectedly human theatrical work.
