Souls of Mischief

KCRW presents Souls of Mischief at Blue Note Los Angeles for a two-night engagement rooted in hip-hop history, lyrical craft, and live group chemistry. The Oakland group, made up of A-Plus, Opio, Phesto, and Tajai, rose to prominence with their classic debut 93 ’til Infinity, a record widely regarded as one of hip-hop’s enduring milestones. Their performance brings the energy of a legendary independent hip-hop collective into Blue Note’s intimate room.

As founding members of the Hieroglyphics collective, Souls of Mischief helped define a creative, self-directed model for independent hip-hop. Their live shows are known for intricate lyricism, forward-thinking production, and the deep connection of artists who have performed together for decades. This engagement promises a celebratory and rhythmically sharp night for longtime fans and new listeners alike.
