The Feel Good Story America Needs Right Now
October 11 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Theatre West presents the world premiere of The Feel Good Story America Needs Right Now, a new comedy about six Americans who became national heroes after escaping the clutches of a notorious terrorist group. One year later, they reunite for a television news-magazine special—but as cameras prepare to roll, it becomes clear that the story America thinks it knows may not be the whole truth.
Written by Mark Wilding and directed by Charlie Mount, the play uses the setup of a high-profile reunion interview to explore media narratives, heroism, memory, and the messy reality hiding behind a polished public story. The production runs through November 8, 2026, with performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00PM and Sundays at 2:00PM.
