Miriam Blaylock (Deneuve) is an ancient vampire who promises eternal youth to her lovers. Her current companion, John (Bowie), suddenly begins to age rapidly, and he seeks help from a gerontologist, Dr. Sarah Roberts (Sarandon). Miriam quickly becomes obsessed with Sarah, drawing her into a seductive world of vampirism.
