STRIPPED ~ a new wave ballet is an original work created and choreographed by Kelleia Sheerin.
STRIPPED is described as a heroine’s journey that serves as a love letter to Los Angeles and its people. It follows the main character, Vivi, a “warrior-child” who is on a quest to find her true self in a world of “counterfeit gods.”
The ballet captures the “raw electricity of transformation” and the process of a soul being stripped down to its essence and rebuilt. It explores themes inherent in new wave music, such as family, fame, addiction, and healing.
