Dances with Wolves

Kevin Costner’s Dances with Wolves returns to the big screen at the Egyptian Theatre as part of American Cinematheque’s Programmed by Mel Brooks: 100 Years at the Movies. The sweeping Western follows a Civil War lieutenant stationed alone on the frontier, where his encounters with a wolf and a neighboring Sioux community gradually transform his understanding of loyalty, identity, and belonging.

The screening is part of a special series personally selected with Mel Brooks in celebration of his 100th birthday, bringing together films that have shaped his lifelong appreciation of cinema.
