ROBERTA GENTRY Blood Orange Artist Talk
October 11 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Track 16 presents Roberta Gentry: Blood Orange, a new body of work inspired by La Dame à la licorne (The Lady and the Unicorn), the celebrated series of six Flemish tapestries created around 1500. Gentry translates the visual rhythm of tapestry weaving into paintings built from crossing symmetries, botanical forms, woven-hair motifs, and elongated figures, all animated by deep red-orange tones that give the exhibition its title.
The works move between organic imagery and geometric structure, allowing forms to emerge and dissolve through dense patterns and controlled color. An artist talk with Roberta Gentry and Chris Ulivo takes place Sunday, October 11 at 1:00PM, while the exhibition itself remains on view through October 24, 2026.
