The legacy of the “Motown Sound” takes center stage as legendary arranger and conductor H.B. Barnum presents a powerhouse showcase at the Catalina Jazz Club on Thursday, February 19, 2026. The evening, titled “Three Legendary Ladies of Song & A Gentleman,” features a rare gathering of vocal titans who helped define an era of American music.

The “Three Ladies” features an extraordinary lineup of talent:

• Scherrie Payne & Lynda Laurence: Both former members of The Supremes, these women have spent decades carrying the torch of the most successful female group in music history. Their performance promises the sophisticated harmonies and high-glamour energy that made the Motown era iconic.

• Blinky Williams: Often referred to as Motown’s “best-kept secret,” Williams is a soul and gospel force known for her deep, resonant pipes and her celebrated duets with Edwin Starr.
