World of Wonder’s ( RuPaul’s Drag Race, Dancing Queen) 2018 WOWIE Awards were held last week in conjunction with a grand opening party for World of Wonder’s flagship store on Hollywood Blvd and Cherokee.

The award ceremony was hosted by Chester Lockhart and featured special performances from
RuPaul’s Drag Race 10th season star,
Mayhem Miller, and
So You Think You Can Dance‘s
Mark Kanemura. Kanemura started off the festivities with a dazzling performance involving a multitude of wigs, switching from rainbows to silver spangles. Mayhem wowed the crowd with her fierce performance of “Drama” bedecked in horns and hoofs.
The pre-performance red carpet featured several well-known drag queens and LGBTQ+ celebrities and activists, including Patrick Starrr, Morgan McMichaels, Rebecca Black, Marek & Richard, and
Gaby Dunn.
