This show is a fight for freedom and for those still trapped to know – they are not forgotten.. Human trafficking is not just sex trafficking abuse, but modern day slavery. The foolish expectations of a young inexperienced girl to find love, a better life, maybe even fame turns into nightmares. Things usually happen very fast. In one moment they are adored by some man who is promising them fame, beautiful life, bright future, and in the next one they are trapped, taken from place to place with no idea what to expect.
Angel was one of those girls. After being captured, she was flown to another country to be somebody’s wife. And the original nightmare turned into bliss for a moment. The wedding was beautiful. She never thought she would have to find love and live in a beautiful country – like America. Her husband was sweet at the beginning and promising. He wanted to let her feel what it feels like to be loved, to get what she wants. He used her dreams to make her happy for a moment. That way, it is easier to control them later.
Max (her husband) owns the factory of flesh, she found out later. He breaks them, makes them forget who they are, gets their minds messed up and traps them with no way out. A factory of beautiful girls has to do whatever he says, because they are already half-dead when they are sold. This – modern day slavery, uses girls as their inventory; they have no name, no passport, they are not in the system, nobody knows they are here. When he is done using them or if they disobey, they get rid of them. They are used as a tissue and literally thrown away later. Angel was one of those rebellious girls, with the hope of escape, who one day was taken out like trash and disappeared.
Besides all the horrible visuals, there are some beautiful moments during the production, like – the sounds of crickets, during the sunset, which emphasizes darkness even more. The beat of the drums and the musical sequences throughout the play were right on, very beautiful and needed. I wish the transitions were tighter, a long wait for another scene dissipated the urgency and the horror of the situation, the intent of a living testimony to shake the nation was lost.
The event was led by Lovy’s Angels Organization, and created by B.Angel’s Production & Blest Media Production, with Yolanda Boyom as Producer/Director/Writer. Directed by Billie King & Yolanda Boyom, the event took place on June 28, 2025 at Assistance League Theater, 1367 North St.Andrews place, LA. At 12 pm was a pre-show Awareness, then a delicious supper was served by the members of Assistance League and the Showtime
doors opened at 4:00 pm, with an actual performance at 5pm. There was a special panel scheduled at 8:00pm. Great event for a very important cause.
Yolanda Boyom was playing Angel with all the enthusiasm she has for this project. Her mission is clear, surely to inspire the communities to come together and find the light and the freedom for all the girls still trapped. And to disable all the different ways the sex trafficking is happening, on the Internet or in person. Her mission is to make everyone aware and shake the nation worldwide.
This production is a great way to make everyone become aware of the dangers, and to find a way to protect our kids, because this is not only the sex trafficking, but an exploitation of young girls and boys as a labor force. This surely needs to stop.
