I love this great image of a young Dolly Parton and her husband Carl Dean taken in a photo booth during the early stages of their relationship. It was found in Carl’s belongings after he died and Dolly personally made sure it was included at her Nashville museum.
Jaclyn Smith invited everybody’s favorite on air entertainment guru George Pennacchio over to tape an interview to help launch her hot new book I Once Knew A Guy Named Charlie and then joined Alana Stewart and the Farrah Fawcett Foundation in Texas to raise funds and awareness and continue Charlie’s Angels 50th anniversary celebrations. Notables that attended include Andrew Stevens, Donna Mills and Marcia Cross. Entertainment at the Fiesta held at The Rustic was provided by Big & Rich. Congratulations George Pennacchio on your 30th on air position with ABC7!
Actress Alisha Soper attended the premiere of Don’t Move in Hollywood. She has received much acclaim playing Marilyn Monroe in Luke Yankee’s play Marilyn, Mom and Me also starring Morgan Fairchild. Alisha also played MM on TV’s Feud and American Horror Story.
It’s hard to believe it’s been four years since our sweet friend funny lady Judy Tenuta left us… This is one of my favorite pictures I took of her at a Beverly Hills event.
Jamie Lee Curtis appeared at The Academy Museum with director John Carpenter to launch their acclaimed HORROR Exhibit with a screening of Halloween and was happy to see the pillar she sponsored and dedicated to her legendary parents Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis.
Sir Paul McCartney and wife Nancy Shevell recently celebrated their 15th anniversary and also attended the George Lucas Museum of Narrative Art with George L and Mellody Hobson. The beautiful museum has 100,000 square feet of exhibit space.
Sydney Sweeney posed for a series of sports photos… this is my favorite.. I remember her as a very sweet “tween” many years ago when I met her with her father Steve at a red carpet event… She convinced her parents to bring her to Los Angeles by writing out a business plan, worked very hard and achieved her dreams of stardom. Legendary actress Karen Sharpe Kramer, seen in photo with daughter Kat, will be appearing at the Hollywood Show for the first time October 23 and 24. I Dream of Jeannie, The Disorderly Orderly and the John Wayne thriller The High and The Mighty are just a few of her many credits. She won a Golden Globe in 1954 for the latter.
The amazingly talented illustrator and photographer Alan Mercer’s new website is

Congratulations to Madonna and Taylor Swift on their multiple MTV VMA awards. I’ve heard M say like her dad, she’s going to “keep going til the wheels fall off.” I remember Mickey Rooney used to say “Retire? I say inspire!”
Michael Douglas has a hot new book out making waves called One Helluva Ride. He’s seen here with friend Lee Purcell. They starred together in Adam at 6 AM directed by Steve McQueen. It was Lee’s first movie.
Gary Kaskel’s hot new book I Could Have Been a Pawnbroker includes stories with Charlie Chaplin, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, and Ethel Merman and more. Workshops of his play Another Gin Game were great.
