Reno’s favorite clown magician Tozy Magic is back in town, participating in the Fringe Festival 2026. After performing her show to audiences in Reno and Denver, Tozy brings Mr. Ow back to Hollywood, where it won ‘Most Inspiring’ at Soft Clown Fest 2026.
She is the most delightful, beautifully charming worm I have ever seen. One actually starts to love worms. That sexy, glamorous worm has eyeballs that are looking straight at us and make us feel kind of whimsical. Always looking for someone extremely glamorous and ‘wonderful’ to bring on stage or not. She is spontaneous and clever, with quick highly pleasant responses. Inventively creative with the props she created herself; like playing cards she made at Christmas when she was alone, little boxes and the moon, which are filled with surprises. She is adorable, you just want to watch her every move, every reaction and you laugh, almost constantly. She is incredibly funny and her portrayal of a glamorous worm who does magic, gambles with your biggest hopes and dreams, is filled with absurd comedy and hilarious audience interactions. ‘Through an explosively funny mix of modern clown, traditional magic, puppetry, and music, Tozy crafts a whimsical world where hope, inner wisdom, and vulnerability collide.’
Tozy is a magician, clown, improviser, writer, puppeteer, comedian, actor, and Drag King based in Reno, NV. She performs with three improv teams, including clown trio Cosmic Candy, Spanish-language team La Dulce Vida, and puppet group Misfit Moon. She also hosts a weekly Drag Trivia night, as well as an Open Mic for Women and Queers.
The costume is spectacular. Great job! Creative and fun, with many hidden pockets. Playing with her sexy appearance is enjoyable and hypnotically entertaining to watch.
And again, we find that Natasha Mercado directed the show who is the creator of Soft Clown. ‘Natasha Mercado is a performer, writer, and director whose work lives where vulnerability and absurdity meet. A first-generation mixed-Latina artist, she creates worlds that are intimate, strange, and unapologetically alive. Her work centers the intelligence of the body and the audience relationship, building comedy through presence and invitation. Under her direction, these shows have sparkled with absurdity, vulnerability, and heart.’
